The MR spectroscopy workgroup is mainly focused on the use of 1H, 31P and 19F in vivo spectroscopy for the examination of the brain, muscle and liver.
The MRI workgroup deals with the use of advanced MR imaging techniques, especially in the field of cardiovascular and functional brain imaging.

Magnetom VIDA
The whole-body 3T MR system VIDA (Siemens, Healthineers, Germany) was installed at the MR-unit, IKEM, as the fourth in 2019. It replaced Trio 3T system and has at disposal, among other things, a multinuclear unit and a number of dedicated coils for imaging and spectroscopy. It is used for both standard clinical examinations and examinations within research projects.
